Hope Through Everything

Hope.
It's a word we use all the time in the most very wrong ways. "I hope I make it home safe..." "I hope I get that scholarship I need for college..." "I hope I don't fail this test.

We use the word hope as if it's an expendable thing. We use it too often. We use it in ways that it doesn't really mean. Hope is the action after faith. You believe, therefore you are hoping. This world uses hope as if it's just another word. Like love. It's used too much.

You don't don't know what hope really is until the time is dark. Until all you have left is hope. Then you realize what hope really is.

I love the acronym for hope: Hold On, Pain Ends. That's what hope means. Just hold one. Just for a little longer. Just wait. This darkness will pass. This storm will soon turn to a rainbow. All this darkness around you, all these starless nights will give way to a beautiful sunrise.

This is Without You by For KING & COUNTRY. I love the whole song, but especially the chorus. "Dance a little/laugh a little/hope a little more".

The things we go through in life -- anything and everything -- we can always hold onto that hope. The beauty of it all will soon show through.

Stop saying that you hope you will get a good grade on a test and just believe.
Stop saying that you hope you will make it through the sickness, the darkness and believe.
Hope isn't just a word, it's an action. It's something that everyone needs. It's a little light shining through the darkness. Hope is God's finger tips reaching down to pull you back up.

Romans 8:18 "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us."
