New Year: A Clean Slate

Welcome to the last day of the 2015th year.
This is it. The last day of the year... My, how time has passed.

Time...

A mere concept that we use to keep track of the world around us. A way to stay organized. But here it is. Flying by. Fast. All those wasted minutes, hours, years... All those things you meant to get done, all those past "new year's resolutions" out the window.

But it's a new year.

It's the year that so many good and bad things can happen. A clean slate, a brand new beginning of sorts. Journeys and adventures will be taken. Places you'll go and people you'll meet. The faces you will see. The food you will taste. Brand new clothes and shoes. Scents you will smell that you haven't smelled before. All these things happening in a brand new year...

This is a new chapter. A brand new, blank page you get to write your story on. Don't forget to smile a little more, to breathe in the fresh air deeper, to love a little stronger, and to tell someone how special they are. You have a clean slate, so write a story on it, eh? Make it a good one. Don't let this year pass you by in a hurry. Take time to smell the roses and to see new places. Walk new paths. Watch the stars...

As of right now, I don't have any New Year's Resolutions. I just want to live fuller and brighter, and love Jesus more and see places I have never seen before. I want to help give hope to hurting souls and be able to touch a life.

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Psalms 121:1-2, KJV

What about you? Do you have any New Year's Resolutions? Got any plans for 2016? What places do you want to see before this year passes you by? It's a clean slate, start writing your story for this year.
